George, it was a great honor and privilege working beside you on Music in the Park. Your style, wit, and stage presence will be truly missed. I hope we can make your proud and dedicate this season to your memory. I learned from you and will miss you every time there is a community event in Three Oaks.
It was a privilege to work on the Chikaming Township Park Board with George. We had a special meeting Tuesday night and George was so upbeat about our parks and preserves.
George was a dear friend in High School and remained a good friend always. His hard work planning our 50th Class of 1959 Reunion was just another example of his friendship and loyalty to those who shared his childhood and manhood.
He will be missed and may his memory live on in all of us who knew him best.
On behalf of the class of ’59, God Speed, George
George was such a great person – always made you feel special. His smile and enthusiasm will be remembered. George was a great “Oaker” and will be missed.
George and I were buddies in high school and participated in fun times singing the 50′s songs during school functions. I was not surprised at the success of his career although who among us had even heard of a computer. I was grateful for his time and effort in tracking us all down for the reunion. He will be missed.
George will be remembered by all of us whose paths he crossed. We spent many years working side by side with TWA at ORD. May God Bless, rest in peace.
George was a much-loved member of the Berrien County Health Equity Alliance. He brought so much wisdom and discernment to the group every month. His presence and smile (and his jokes) will be truly missed by all members of our coalition. He was a blessed man, and I feel blessed to have known him.
George will always be remembered as a caring and dear person who even after many years was able to converse with wisdom and witt at our recent class reunion. He was a dear friend during our days at TOHS, and will be terribly missed.
Our condolences to his lovely family.
I,like so many others,am glad George returned to our area. He blessed me with his presence in times that I so needed an ear to listen, and how lucky I was he never tired of listening.

Our condolences to Laura and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. George came to us in Florida at Trinity Lutheran Church. Our commonality was we had suffered heart failure and through Gods help we had survived. George was a great comfort to us in sharing his experience. I know George is now singing and laughing with the angels.
Laura,
I’m sorry I had to be out of town this past weekend and was not available for George’s funeral service. Getting to know you and George was a highlight of my life this past year and during the short time we worked together on the Berrien County Association of Churches Board of Directors, you both truly became good friends that I have appreciated so much. I was totally stunned to hear of George’s untimely passing and I want you to know how much I appreciated him, his support for BCAC and his marvelous, Christ-like spirit.
He will be greatly missed by all of us and we genuinely sympathize with you in the loss of your beloved husband.
Dear Laura,
I am so grateful that Danny and I got to withness firsthand the love that you and George have for each other. We so enjoyed spending time with you when you came to Indianapolis last winter. What a comfort it will be to you to have George’s book(s) as a reminder of the love he had for you and the joy he brought to so many others whose lives he touched! I think the network of caring will grow and live on as his book makes it’s way further into the TWA family.
God Bless you, Laura!
Love, Catharine & Dan
I was sorry to hear George has left this earth so soon but I know God makes no mistakes, God wants some good people up there with him so he took George. Rest on.
It was a privilege to know George. He was an inspiration and a great roll model for us all. Let’s take up his baton and continue his great efforts.
Very saddened by the news of George’s passing, sincere condolences to Laura and family. Beyond his generous personality, his delight in returning to his roots and positive energy toward all will be long remembered. Thank you, George.
I worked with George at TWA for many years and he was always a joy to work with..we will miss his smiling face.
I was very sorry to hear about George passing away in January. I didn’t find out until today 2/20/2012. I am the lead singer for the group “Dave Farris And The Shades Of Gray”. We played at the summer concert in the Dewey Canon park in Three Oaks last year and George was the host that intrduced us to the crowd and though I didn’t know him well I took an instant liking to him. I am very sorry to hear he is gone and would like to offer my condolences for myself and on behalf of the rest of our group to George’s family and loved ones.
