Jean and family, so sorry to hear of your loss. I will always be grateful to Jane for giving me my first job and teaching me about a hard work ethic! We had in common a great love of books as well. Even at age 14, I recognized her energy and zest for life, and admired her endless service to others. What an example for us all. thoughts are with you. The Cassidy family

Having heard Judy speak of her mom many times, it is both a pleasure and an inspiration to read of Jane’s life.
Obviously, she touched many people in profound ways.
She seems to have been the kind of person who was wired to reach out. How fortunate are those who knew her as mother, family member, medical caregiver, teacher, church leader, volunteer and friend. This article is a lovely tribute to her life.

Such a fine woman, exemplary in so many ways. My condolences to her family. I met Jane at Three Oaks Methodist, and, with the calm wisdom of a Bishop, Jane directed me to revive my preaching gifts and serve Sawyer UCC. I have been doing so now for 4+ years. Being touched by Jane was like being touched by God.

Dear Judy & Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I spent a lot of time talking and swapped alot of books with Jane. God Bless.
Dear Jean and Family
The Community has truly lost an Angel! There is not enough words or paper to express what wonderful friend she was to many people including us. I was privileged to be one that she touched my heart. The time we spent on the River Valley School Board together have left me with memories of educated and challenging conversations. When Ed and I stopped at the book Store she always had a smile fur us plus many suggestions for “books to read”. Rest in Peace me dear Friend. All our sympathy to the entire family. Ed and Pam Behnke.
Jean,
Your mom was a magnificent lady who we all will greatly miss. I will remember her with great fondness forever.

Sharing a name with Jane and a dedication to the Lord, I wish I had her determination and spunk!Such an inspiring person. She brought so much to our local community. The last time I saw her at the library, she was picking up some children’s books for an after-school program but also somewhat frustrated that even large-print books were becoming difficult to read – and reading was a passion.
My condolences to the family, she will be missed by the commuity but so much more by her children and grandchildren.
