Richard “Dick” Allen Schmidt

Richard “Dick” Allen Schmidt, age 78, of Three Oaks, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Dick was born in Three Oaks, Michigan on March 6, 1937 the son of Alvin and Helen (Reifshneider) Schmidt. Dick is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronald Schmidt. Dick will be remembered for his love of sports and the outdoors.  He was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman.  Dick was an Allstate basketball and baseball player for Three Oaks High School.  He had received a tryout letter for the Detroit Tigers. …

Nancy Jean Bradley, age 59, of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015, in her home with her family by her side. Nancy was born September 15, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana to Lewis and Lillie Mae (Ender) Lambert. Nancy married Matthew T Bradley on September 21, 1973.  They were married for over 41 years. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Joyce McClaran and Sandra Briggs. Benjamin F. “Frank” Todd, 79, died Wednesday afternoon, August 12, 2015 at his home with his wife at his side. Frank was born November 20, 1935 in Gibson, Missouri to Chester and Mamie (Stearns) Todd. He grew up on a farm, planting and harvesting cotton and soybeans with his family. After graduating from Holcomb High School, he found work in the auto factories of Flint, Michigan in 1956. It was in Flint that Frank met Thresa Eagleson whom he married November 23, 1957. Rowena L. Forker, 86, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Monday evening, July 27, 2015 at West Woods of Bridgman. Ronnie was born January 23, 1929 in Bethel Township, Michigan to Fred and Marjorie (Card) Clearwater. She married Robert Forker on October 6, 1947 in Angola, Indiana. Ronnie and Bob purchased land and developed it into Bob-A-Ron Campground which they ran from 1965 until 2000.
