“Recurring themes in my work are my conceptions of natural surroundings and the interaction of color. Because of my art education background and its variety, I enjoy changing my style and subject matter to evoke a certain feeling or point of view. Life is too diverse and wonderful to limit oneself in the creative process.

Watercolor and pastel are my mediums of choice along with that diverse and wonderfully portable tool, the pencil. Collage and mixed media thoughts are filling my head with ideas, I’m anxious to experiment.

Seeing things in different ways and not being afraid to try are the keys to creating art work, or anything, for that matter. I try to keep my eyes and mind open so that I won’t miss out on what life has to offer. It is jammed full of wonderful imagery. My job is to make choices and modify them to suit my creative goals”
